Allen Nease High School |
Graduated from Allen Nease High School in St. Augustine, Florida in 1990
She played volleyball for all four years, swam for two, sang in the chorus two, was in the
drama club her freshman year, was a cheerleader her junior year, a homecoming queen
candidate and runner-up her senior year, and she was named a Senior of Distinction.
Although she attended Nease for only a year, Jebbia is well remembered at the school.
She was a good student ... a young lady who stood out, recalls Nease Principal Bill
Mignon. She was a very attractive young lady who was involved in many school activities.
Those sentiments were echoed by Chris Phelps, the schools athletic director, who added
that Jebbia was very popular with other students.
While at Nease, Jebbia was on the girls varsity volleyball team, earning an athletic
scholarship to Jacksonville University. She graduated from JU in 1994 with a degree in
communications and business administration.
After graduation from JU, Jebbia moved to Massachusetts where she was awarded the
Miss Massachusetts title this past fall. That title led her to the Miss USA pageant.
Jebbia transferred to Nease from a school in California, Phelps said, spending just her
senior year here. But her list of activities and accomplishments, noted in the 1990 edition of
the schools yearbook, Impressions, attests to a busy four years.
