Let's Get Intimate: Taimie Hannum
Learn romance and the proper way to pick up a woman from Hollywood's sexiest bad girl.

Taimie (pronounced, as she explains, "Tame-Me") may have not have been born in Los Angeles but there's no place else on Earth this gorgeous model and actress should be. Walk into a club with her and you'll see all eyes immediately lock on her. From the biggest celebrity to the lowliest wannabe, all will gleefully follow Taimie around like puppies in love. It's no surprise how successful then how successful she's become in her 10 years in La-La Land.

Originally a transplant from Arizona, Taimie Hannum initially found herself hanging with the rock glitterati of Sunset Strip. She dated rock stars and lived the rock star life. However, she asserts, she was never a groupie, and her growing modeling and acting career soon began to monopolize her time. Taimie's been in dozens of movies and TV shows, including Awakening of Gabriella, Pleasure Craft, Melrose Place, and just recently The Man Show as a trampoline girl. She's also done quite a bit of nude modeling. Hello.

IGN For Men: You have a bad girl side, don't you?

Taimie: Yes I do. But that's not to imply that I'm not a good person. I just have a tomboy side to me where I don't mind getting dirt under my nails and having fun. A lot of people say that I'm wild because I'm not scared of life. Instead of being wild in the sense of being bad, people find it a good quality in me. When they say it they mean it as a compliment.

IGN For Men: Do you think people may say you're wild because they're intimidated by it and wish they could bust loose themselves?

Taimie: Yeah, that's true. I had to learn to not take it badly when somebody would say I was wild. They meant it differently than I thought they were.

IGN For Men: "Wild" can also mean "a whole lot of fun."

Taimie: It means freedom.

IGN For Men: You've dated some rock stars. What was it about them that attracted you?

Taimie: I never pursued it myself at first until they started chasing me around. It kinda became a habit. Ten years ago in Hollywood everybody hang long hair -- that was the scene.

IGN For Men: What were some of the bands you were into?

Taimie: I've never been much of a groupie. I've ended up knowing the guys and hanging out with them. Bands that I'm into as far as music were more like Boston ad Janis Joplin and The Doors. The people I hung out with were Skid Row, Guns N' Roses, Metallica, Megadeth, all those guys.

IGN For Men: What kind of guys are you into now?

Taimie: I've thankfully gotten out of that rock scene because I know a lot of girls that haven't yet [laughs]. I like guys that are a little bit older -- they have to be at least six years older than me. Not too much older but at least six years. They should be business oriented but still like to travel and have fun.

IGN For Men: Someone who can appreciate your wild side?

Taimie: Appreciate my wild side and afford it [laughs].

IGN For Men: You must get picked up on all the time. Give us some tips on the right way for a guy to approach a lady.

Taimie: The first thing is, don't be afraid to approach somebody. And stay away from the cheesy lines. A girl knows when you're being genuine and not just being a guy in a bar trying to pick up on a girl. If someone's genuinely coming up to talk to me, that's when I'll talk to them. Just turn around and say, "This place is pretty cool, isn't it?" Something like that's a lot better of a conversation breaker than, "Hey, I saw you across the room."

IGN For Men: How should guys be romantic?

Taimie: Little things are very, very important. Even bringing home one flower and handing it to you to know that you were thought of is cool. And don't forget back rubs.

IGN For Men: What do you consider the good life?

Taimie: I've had a fortunate life in that I've been able to have some good times. It's not necessarily about money but having the freedom to be able to enjoy life a little bit more, and to travel and be friends with your mate that you're with and not let it become about the house and the bills. And being with good friends.

IGN For Men: You like to travel?

Taimie: Any traveling you do rounds you out as a person. I lived in Japan for six months which was a lot of fun. Too much fun actually [laughs]. I have to admit that I came back a completely different person. I can't wait to travel to more places to see how much more I can grow from seeing different cultures.

IGN For Men: Just don't stay away from us too long. What's something that most people don't know about you?

Taimie: Most people don't know that I really am just a down to earth girl. I grew up in Arizona with a grandfather who had no grandson and liked to shoot guns. We were out there in the desert target shooting when I was eight. I still go back and go out shooting with him. Other than dressing up in gowns and going to the Grammies, I could sit home on my computer for a week and not even leave the house when I'm working on something or trying to learn a new program. A lot of people just see me out and think, "She's wild," but actually it's like, "Hey, I'm finally out of the house."

IGN For Men: What's your hidden talent?

Taimie: The ability to pick up on things quickly, whether it be knowledge or streetwise stuff. That's a good little hidden quality I think [laughs].

IGN For Men: Perfect. You're going to be on the cover of Easy Rider magazine this summer. Are you into motorcycles?

Taimie: I love motorcycles. Somewhere between my rocker days and today I went through a little stage where my boyfriend and I owned a tattoo shop.

IGN For Men: Do you have a lot of tattoos?

Taimie: No, I only have one. It's a heart with a snake coiled around it and a dagger through it on my tailbone. The snake is the protector and the dagger means true love. It's Japanese symbolism for making sure my heart doesn't get broken. I wasn't modeling or acting when I got it but for some reason I always thought that if I did I wouldn't want to have a lot of them on me.

IGN For Men: Have you ever had to cover it up for a shoot?

Taimie: One movie had me cover it up. Everybody else is like, "Oh no, it's fine."

IGN For Men: You were in Citizen Toxie. Do you like scary movies?

Taimie: I'm not really the scary movie type. I like good movies like Fried Green Tomatoes. Chick flicks I guess.

IGN For Men: Speaking of tomatoes, there are a lot of really sexy photos involving food on your website.

Taimie: When I first set up my website it was supposed to have the theme of a five-star restaurant/hotel. There were some pictures that were done to make it look like a chef and a bellman, different little things like that.

IGN For Men: Can food be sexy?

Taimie: Food can definitely be sexy. How can 9 1/2 Weeks ever go out of your mind? I'm sure Kim Bassinger has something to do with that though [laughs].

IGN For Men: Have you ever had that 9 1/2 Weeks sexy food experience?

Taimie: There've been a couple of banana splits on room service in my lifetime [laughs].

IGN For Men: Wow. What's the sexiest food?

Taimie: You could say oysters if you want to put it into a different text [laughs]. Probably spaghetti. There's something about that Lady and the Tramp thing.

IGN For Men: Are you into guys that can cook? Is that important?

Taimie: No, it's not important. Actually I love to cook. Being raised in Arizona I'm a meat and potatoes kinda girl. I'll make a roast beef or a turkey or something and it's always enough for six people. But I'm actually a pretty decent little cook. I make a really mean lasagna.

IGN For Men: Finally, if you were a food, what food with you be?

Taimie: A peach. They're a little tough on the outside but they're soft and sweet on the inside.
