Here is some pics of Frostbite in action, hopefully showing some range of motion and what the figure looks like in action poses:
Here is a shot of Frostbite throwing a punch. It doesn't look too bad, really, and his twisting waist puts some nice ummph into it. The hands look a little odd, but altogether, there is some good, dramatic movement available.
Here is Frostbite running with his gear. This shot looks pretty good, showing a snow trooper who is well equipped and in good running motion. His knees don't suffer the same fate as Neo Viper's, and thus, he looks pretty good here, running.
Here is a shot of Frostbite firing one of his weapons, another shot which came out pretty well. His arm construction makes it tough to create some decent weapons shots, but there is enough movement there to at least approximate. Overall, it has a decent enough look to it. |
As you can see, the legs are far too small for the upper body, but still blend together relatively well. I mainly did this as a demonstration to show how easily Hasbro could assimilate these new molds into the standard O-Ring format. By trimming the upper body a little, it would not lose much detail, but would be compatible with the older figures.
Here is another shot of Frostbite in action with these new Big Ben legs on him. In this pose, they look a little more natural (if you ignore the color difference) and really would work pretty well with those small modifications I mentioned. You don't realize how much difference that lower body construction makes until you set him up in a pose like this.
Here is a group shot with the new Arctic Strike Team. Give me a few days and I'll get a snow-bound picture of it, but this will have to do for now. I think Frostbite fits in fairly well with the group, even if he is a little large and white compared to the other two. Still, a decent enough assault team, I think. |
