Hot Spot: Damage Control Leader
Damage Control is a branch of G.I. Joe responsible for search and rescue. They are a resourceful bunch, each member fully trained in all facets of rescue operations. Each man has a limited knowledge in medical training, mountain climbing, firefighting, scuba diving and many other necessary skills. Damage Control must be able to complete a search and rescue no matter when and where it takes place, whether at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, or deep behind enemy lines in the Middle East. As a result, each man also goes through the rigorous training regemin of any member of the G.I. Joe team, becoming well versed in hand to hand combat, firearms, and explosives.
Hot Spot was a firefighter for the U.S. Army at a young age. He quickly rose through the ranks and then left the firefighting devision to join the elite Hostage Rescue branch of the Army. After that, he joined up with the Airborn Rangers and it was there that he got the attention of General Hawk. He found himself recruited to the Joe team shortly after, and in charge of the newly formed Damage Control shortly after that.
