Inspector Gadget was a cartoon from the early 1980s by DiC. It starred Don Adams as Inspector Gadget, a police officer with all sorts of robotic components attatched to his body which he could call upon to use by shouting "Go Go Gadget" and the name of the "gadget" which he wished to use. Gadget was sent on missions to try to stop Dr. Claw and his group of thieves, assasins, etc. (M.A.D.). Dr. Claw is the main villan behind all of the episodes, though we never once get to see his face. All we ever get to see is his characteristic "claw", which is more of an oddly gloved hand.
In each episode, Police Chief Quimby gives Gadget an assignment which gives him the opportunity to go to all sorts of places. His main objective: To stop M.A.D. from committing some sort of crime in that particular area. Penny, Gadget's niece, always secretly tags along with her dog, Brain, and ends up solving the case without anyone knowing it. That's the basic outline of the plot. Now, back to the main page.
