There will be reports from previous wacken festivals on this page soon enough.
In the meantime I have written down info for those of you from Sweden visiting
this page who want to go to wacken next year (2001).
I have now been arranging buss trips to Wacken for three years and I plan to continue
doing so even though many have followed my initiatives.
Here is a FAQ about the trip next year:
Where in Sweden does the busses go from?
The busses leaves from Stockholm and picks up people in Jönköping and Helsingborg.
How much does the trip cost?
1000 SEK (Does not include ticket to the festival).
When do we arrive at the Wacken festival?
We will arrive mid day 2 August (Thursday). Perhaps even one day earlier.
This will be informed later on.
When do we leave Wacken?
The buss departs from Wacken very early Sunday morning a few hours
after the last band stops playing.
How do I book my trip?
You´ll have to put money on my post account (postgiro). When I recieve the money
you have your place. Larger groups of people (6+) can reserve places for a limited
amount of time. You will have to e-mail me to get the account number.
Have there been any trouble on your trips?
Yes. At the 1999 trip I left 80 Wacken tickets to a guard at the festival so I wouldn´t loose
them in my inebriated state of mind. The next morning when my other busses arrived at Wacken the
guard was gone even though he had told me he would be there the entire day. It took me maybe an
hour to find him and poeple where quite irritated (understandably). Apart from that there
hasn´t been any problems.
So why should I choose to go with your busses?
Because we have the best music, the best beer and the best of times!!
