Poison/ratt/great white/la guns at the sony-blockbuster entertainment center, Camden, NJ

This was the first concert that I had been to in several years and boy was it a doozy. I couldn't believe there was no newspaper reviews on it. I guess they'd just rather ignore music of this type and hope it goes away.

I had just joined Club Rockett a few weeks earlier and the prospect of meeting one of the guys that had been such a huge part of my life for so long had my stomach in knots and I kind of felt like I was going to puke, but I managed to maintain composure.

If you want the song list well... go look at your copy of "Power to the People", and if you don't have it - GO BUY IT!!!

Below is a copy of my own review that I posted on the Poison BBS.

Warning: If you don't like long, totally positive, gushing concert reviews don't even bother going any further. I have loved Poison since 1987 and I've ALWAYS had a lot of fun at their concerts, but I have to say these were THE BEST concerts of theirs or anyone else's for that matter that I've ever been to. In fact if I had a list of the best times of my life, these concerts would be in the top 5.

E-Centre----
The weather was nice, 80's and sunny. The venue itself was very nice, clean, organized (or so I thought) and the bathrooms were beautiful-not something I'm used to at a concert. I liked how it was partially covered so even if it rained, it wouldn't matter. It was me and my boyfriend Brian. We had row F off to the left side.

We got to our seats about 5 minutes before LA Guns took the stage. The crowd was not receptive at all. I felt like I was the only one clapping and cheering for them. I can't say that I miss Phil Lewis too much because they still sounded great without him. Jizzy does just as good a job if not better. I liked him in Love/Hate and I like him in LA Guns too. That new song they played is still stuck in my head.

After LA Guns was over we went for some drinks ($6.50 for a Lynchburg Lemonade YIKES!!) We got back just in time to hear the Jaws theme opening for Great White. The crowd was a little more receptive, but still not thrilled. I was one of only 3 or 4 people standing in my section. That felt kind of weird but I didn't care. Jack Russell and the band were having a great time up there and it was fun to watch. The new song "Rolling Stoned" was really cool.

Time for Ratt. By this time, just about everyone was standing. Bobby Blotzer was just as nuts as ever. It was his birthday that day according to Stephen. I'm not sure what else I can say about them except for it was cool to see them finally. It's just too bad Stephen doesn't get into the music a little more.

And now the moment I'd been waiting for. It felt like an eternity since I'd seen them last, and then - there they were! Like the incredible showmen that I remembered, they were bursting with energy. Bret running all over the stage, Rikki
tossing around his sticks as he was playing, CC spinning himself on the floor in rhythm to Let It Play (very funny), and Bobby rocking out and smiling ear to ear. It was an unbelievable show, the pyro, songs and their presence was wonderful!! Too much fun!

Right after the show we asked several people where we were supposed to be with the passes. No one seemed to know what we were talking about. After much confusion and about an hour wait outside we caught a glimpse of Rikki in a room with a bunch of people. We found out from someone at the Montage concert that we were in totally the wrong place, the meet and greet was already over and he was now sitting with his family. Someone told us to
just go in even though that room was just for his family. We went in and I could feel my blood pressure going up and up. We watched him talking for a while and then Brian tapped him on the shoulder. Suddenly one of the people who had been taped on my wall for 12 years was looking at me. I managed to squeak out "Hello" and he shook my hand. Then Brian started talking to him and eventually asked if he'd take a picture with me. Before I had a
chance to react Rikki Rockett came over and put his arm around me. AAAAAAAAKKK!!!! SAVE ME JEBUS!! Brian took the picture and said we'd see him at Montage, then we left. We didn't want to stick around too long because Rikki looked kind of tired and we didn't want to interrupt his family time.

Oh what a day!! We took the film to get developed the next day but unfortunately it turned out kind of dark. I just couldn't stop looking at it though. It was so hard for me to believe that I met him.
