Union 76 Restification

This poor Union 76 truck came to me in extremely poor shape. Upon examination, the trailer was deemed unrestorable. I tore it down for spare parts. The cab, on the other hand, was in decent enough shape that I decided to do a little 'restification'. (This is a combination of restoring, and modifying at the same time.)

Junkyard bound?? Not!

The paint on the cab was in bad shape, so I stripped it down, and gave it a new paint job. (And a new color, too!) I painted it white so that I could make a 'dummy' 1982 Exxon rig. I couldn't seem to find the real thing, so I set out to make it!

New and Shiny! (Well, almost!)

Here is the finished product. I teamed it up with an older Exxon trailer, because I couldn't find decals for the newer rig. This satisified my need for the '82 Exxon rig for a while...

....And lo, and behold!

...and wouldn't you know it, but the real deal shows up not a month later!!
