PATCH

Patch was Sindy’s younger sister and was introduced in 1966. She was 9” tall and had hair cut in a bob style in blonde, auburn or brunette. She had her own range of clothes especially designed for her and later on had her own pony called Pixie. After being given a revamp in 1970, production ceased after 5 years in 1971.

POPPET AND BETSY

In 1968 Patch was given 2 new friends of her own named Poppet and Betsy.

Poppet was the same size as Patch and could wear any of her outfits. She had brown hair in an ‘urchin’ cut and side glancing eyes. She too was updated in 1970 and given longer centre parted hair but was again phased out in 1971.

Betsy was Patch’s American friend and stood 6” tall. She was a very pretty doll with blonde hair, a smiling mouth and blue eyes. As she was smaller than Patch, she had 3 outfits especially designed for her. Again she was no longer made after 1971, which makes her and her outfits rare collectors items.

VICKY AND MITZI

Vicky and Mitzi were introduced in 1968 as two new friends for Sindy.

Vicky was introduced as Sindy’s new English friend. She was the same size as Sindy, had blonde hair in a bubble perm style, blue eyes, painted eyelashes and a smiling mouth.

Mitzi was introduced as Sindy’s new Continental friend. She again was the same size as Sindy and could wear any of her clothes. Mitzi was given long red hair (although she can occasionally be found with blonde), big blue eyes, high cheekbones and rose coloured lips. Both dolls were made in limited numbers although Mitzi is harder to find.

JUNE

June was never sold in the shops, but was available as a free gift from Pedigree if you saved 24 heart tokens.

MARIE
Marie was introduced in 1986 by Pedigree. She was the same size as Sindy and given long, side parted, auburn hair, lilac eyes and a smiling mouth. She was only made for one year until the Hasbro takeover.
