Big-name director Michael Bay and his newly founded production company have made a remake of the 1974 classic slasher film, "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre". Originally rumors speculated that Bay would also direct this remake. But Bay said that his directing of the 3-minute promo for the film, is all he will do directing wise. He served as a Producer. Scott Kozar, has also penned a more modern-day script, for the remake. Daniel Pearl, original Cinematographer for the first film, has returned to Direct the Photography for this remake. The film has been filmed, and is now been completed. The storyline follows five friends who are on an idyllic summer drive to Mexico to score some marijuana, and run afoul of the cannabalistic Sawyer family. Expect a October 17, 2003 release date in theaters from New Line Cinema.
