Career : Attended Montague Academy and graduated from Harvard Business school, she was an ad agency executive at Wallace & McQuade advertising until she got fired and started her own advertising agency called "The Bower agency".

Judith Ellen Light Desiderio

Born : February 9, 1949 in Trenton, New Jersey. Raised in a reform jewish family.
Currently lives in : Los Angeles, California.
Status : Married to husband Robert Desiderio, since 1985.
Offspring : None.
Career : During college played in "Guys and Dolls" and after college moved to New York and made her Broadway debut in "A doll's house". This was followed by several other Broadway and off-Broadway productions.
In 1977 Light joined the cast of the soap opera "One life to live" as Karen Wolek and during her 5 years role she won 2 Emmys, 2 Soapy awards and a Soap opera hall of fame award. In 1984 she got the role of "Angela Bower" in ABC's "Who's the boss?", a series that lasted 8 seasons and brought Light closer to the audience and into the spot lights. Her other appearance on TV series includes "Phenom" (1993) and her most recent appearance in "Law and order- speacial victims unit". She also starred in many TV movies such as "The Ryan White story" (1989), "Men don't tell" (1993), "Against their will- women in prison" (1994), "Murder at my door" and "Too close to home" (1996) and "Carriers" (1998).
After more than 20 years off stage Light returned as Dr. Vivian Bearing in the Pulitzer Prize winning play "Wit", portraying a women with stage four overian cancer who is struggling with her illness and the side effect of the chemotherapy, along with facing her mortality. After touring with "Wit" for almost two years, she took the lead part in "Sorrows and Rejoicings".
Light is the spokeswoman of "Proactive" and is a volunteer in many humane organizations, especially gay & lesbians rights organizations.
