Ahh, Angela and Tony's relationship was really special. And very very very long... Here are some of T & A greatest moments- the ones we just couldn't forget, the ones that made a big change in their relationship and simply the ones that made Tony and Angela's relationship so wonderful.

The look

Angela and Tony first meet (ep. 1 : pilot)

As we all know, Tony came to Angela's door looking for work. In the pilot episode, Angela opens the door wearing a bath robe and behind it she finds to her surprise a young handsome man who claims to be looking for a job as her housekeeper (how often does *that* happen?). The look that the two exchanged at that moment became known as "the look", which represent the hidden (and not so hidden) attraction and sexual tension between them and the beginning of their long term relationship. And, of course, the beginning of "who's the boss?" excellent plot.

Best quote:

"Tony: ...let me tell you one thing Angela. You'd never catch me doing something dumb like sleeping with my employer!"

Switching beds

Tony and Angela wake up in bed together (ep.17: eye on Angela)

One stormy night, Samantha had a bad dream so she decided to crawl in bed with Angela but soon took over the enrite bed and blanket, leaving Angela with nothing but a sexy nightgown and an expensive necklace to her body (I was wondering about that too). So Angela decided to go sleep in Sam's room. Meanwhile, Jonathan crawled into Tony's bed and when Tony started snoring too hard, he told him that Sam had a nightmare and she needed him with her. So Tony stumbled into Sam's bed, banging his head in the door on the way. You can guess how surprised Angela and Tony were to find themselves next to each other in the morning... But if you think that's the worst part, you're wrong- just as Tony and Angela stepped out of the room they found themselves in front of a camera as a local news reporter was waiting to do a story about Angela and, of course, was really happy with the juicy story that fell into her hands...

Best quote:

"Tony: Well Jonathan told me Samantha had a nightmare so I came in here to comfort her.
Angela: Well she’s in my bed!
Tony: Well I didn’t know that! I mean, I came in here and there was just a lump underneath the covers.
Angela: Don’t you think that my lump is different than hers?"

First kiss

Alchohol is bad for you, but it's hella funny on ABC (ep.22 : first kiss)

On her birthday, Angela went out with her friends and ended up drinking quite a bit. Tony attended a police-sponsered demonstration about alchohol and volunteered to demonstrate the effects of alchohol on one's mind. They both came home woozy and started laughing and running around in the kitchen, throwing flour at each other, and end up in each other's arms, kissing. Then, after Angela romantically collapsed on the floor, Tony decided that it's time that Angela went to sleep and he carried her upstares to bed (whooo!). Angela playfully tried to pull him in bed with her (whooo!) but Goodie-two-shoes Tony didn't want to take advantage of her, and also she, well, passed out. In the morning, Angela remembered only parts of what happened and was convinced that she had slept with Tony.

Best quote:

"Angela: Tony, if, um, we both got so carried away… how come you…
Tony: It’s just that uh, I mean if anything ever did happen between us, I wouldn't wanna loose you, as a friend.
Angela: Oh, I wouldn’t want to loose you either, as a friend.
Tony: And another thing, if we ever did , LOOSE each other as friends, I’d want you to remember it. And you would!
Angela: So would you…"

An even earlier kiss

Tony and Angela find out they already met in camp (ep. 27/8 : it happened one summer)

The family visited Jonathan in his summer camp and Angela and Tony both recall going to camp when they were young at the same area. They each told a story about their first kiss they had in that camp and when the stories seemed to coincide they suspected that they shared that kiss with each other. Tony remembered carving his and his lady friend's names on a rock that night and he and Angela went out to the woods to check it out. They found Tony's name and some other girl's name on the rock and Tony felt relieved. When a storm prevented them from returning to the campsite, they had to share a motel room and then Angela told Tony that she used a different name that faithful night and the name carved on the rock was actually hers. In the second part of the episode, Angela and Tony had to share a bed together, too. How nice.

Best quote:

"Angela: Tony, look, this won’t work. We can’t stay in the same room alone together.
Tony: Why not? What’s the big deal? There’s two beds. We’re adults. We sleep under the same roof at home.
Angela: It’s not the same.
Tony: What do you mean it’s not the same? It is too, it’s me and you here. It’s not like I’m holed up in a small motel in a thunderstorm with… Ingrid. I mean, ay, if I was with Ingrid there might me trouble. Yo, Ing. Come here baby.
Angela: Tony, I’m Ingrid."

Tony says "I love you"

Tony's going under the knife (ep. 47: The Anniversary Show)

Angela decided to cook a fancy dinner in order to celebrate Tony and Sam's second anniversary of moving in and joining the family, but everyone had plans except Tony, and thus the family dinner became a dinner for two. Just as the dinner started to become more than a friendly one, Tony felt a pain in his stomach and was rushed to the hospital. Angela was afraid she had poisoned him but the doctor said Tony's appendix is about to burst and that he needed a surgery. After been given an injection before going into surgery, Tony asks Angela to take care of Sam in case anything happens to him and just before he fell asleep and was wheeled into the o.r, he muttered that he loved her. Angela, shocked, tried to ask him about it but he was already asleep. After coming out of surgery, Tony simply pretended he didn't remember. Nice save.

best quote:

"Tony: Listen, Angela, if anything happens to me...
Angela: Nothing’s going to happen to you.
Tony: Okay, it’s not. But if it did, I’d like you to take care of Sam.
Angela: Oh, Tony.
Tony: I mean, you’ve been so good for her already, being there when she needed a woman to talk to, helping her grow up, helping me to let her grow up. I never would have made it through puberty without you.
Angela: Tony, I’d be honored to take care of Sam.
Tony: Thanks. And hey, Angela. I love you."

You're in the wrong wedding, people

Tony and Angela do want to get married (ep. 54: Wedding bells?)

Sam's friend's parents got married and Tony and Angela attended the wedding. While there, they secretly fantesized about getting married to each other. They also danced together and tried to find out each other's thought's about marriage, but since Angela was kinda there with her boyfriend, they had to just stare at each other lovingly behind the shoulders of their dance partner.

best quote:

"Tony: As your thoughts were straying, how far did they go?
Angela: They might have gone down the bridal path but only with the right person.
Tony: Yeah, only the right person."

Are you sure it's... Love?

Angela feels threatened by an attractive woman from Tony's past (ep. 75: Frankie and Tony Are Lovers)

While attending a street-fair in Brooklyn, Tony met Frankie, a very attractive woman from his past and it soon becomes pretty clear that they have a lot of sexual tension between them. Angela tried to hide her jealousy up until she caught them kissing. When Tony was "up for sale" at the Pitkin avenue auction Angela and Frankie tried to make the higher bid, but when Frankie bid 1000$, Angela quit and Frankie won Tony's housekeeping services for a whole day. However, she wanted much more than that, and when Tony came back home he told Angela that Frankie had proposed to him. A shocked and worried Angela brought up the issue at her meeting with her psychologist and finally admitted that she loved Tony. Luckily for her, Tony turned Frankie down.

best quote:

"Dr. Bellows: Angela! Do you love Tony?
Angela: Is my time almost up? ...Oh, he’s the most incredible man… I’ve ever known. When I’m with him, I’m... I’m happier than I’ve ever been… and sadder sometimes. God, I just couldn’t imagine my life without him. This is confidential isn’t it? (beat)
Yes. I love Tony. (Her hands cover her mouth as she admits it to herself for the first time)

Angela says "I love you"

Strange things happen when you're asleep (ep. 84: Sleep Talk, Sweet Talk)

Angela was talking in her sleep, much to everyone else's amusement, when one night, she blurted (well, more like shouted) that she loved Tony, for everybody who stood outside the door to hear, including Tony. Embarrassed, he tried to ignore it and go along with his plans to throw Angela a surprise party for her birthday, but the day of the party Angela overheared Tony and Mona talk about her sleep talk and, feeling totally embarrassed, she ditched her own party and went to a bar. At the end, Tony finds her, but somehow they managed to not do anything about what's been said.

best quote:

"Tony: All right, all right now, come on now, she’s probably just having a bad dream.
Angela: (laughs in her sleep, seductively)
Sam: Doesn’t sound so bad to me.
Tony: Ok, ok, come on, come on, let’s go back to bed. Come on, let’s go. Come on, the excitement’s over, break it up. Come on.
(Just as everyone's about to enter their rooms...)
Angela: Tony! I love you!
Tony: (changing the subject) Pancakes for breakfast?

First date

Finally going out together, Tony and Angela's date is ruined (ep. 111: First date)

After Angela hired an escort to go with her to an award ceremony, Mona convinced Tony to ask Angela out on a real date. Tony agreed and he and Angela prepared nervously to their first date-date. Tony took Angela to a comedy club, which wasn't exactly what Angela had in mind, and things only got worse when a rude comedian started making fun of their relationship and got Tony to accidently blurt that he asked Angela out because she had no time for "a real date". Angela furiously punched the comedian and rushed out, mad at Tony for asking her on a date out of pity. When Tony made it clear he thought of her as anything but someone who needs his pity, Angela asked him if he'd ever ask her out again. They decide going out on a romantic date is not the right thing to do.

best quote:

"Tony: Lets make one thing cleared, Angela, I didn't ask you out because of pity, I asked you out because you are beautiful, funny, smart and beautiful!
Angela: You already said beautiful.
Tony: I know I said it twice, I always say it twice, if it's such a bad thing then just shoot me!"

Talking marriage

Tony and Angela fight, make up and make out (ep.122: In Search of Tony)

The family flied to a vacation on an Island, paid by one of Angela's client. Everybody had a good time without Tony, and when Angela had too much fun and almost drowned while swimming nude, they got into an arguement and decided to prove each other that they can have more fun with out the other. At the end, they made up and Tony admitted he was sorry for not beeing the one to rescue Angela from drowning. They passionately kissed (twice!) when Tony felt he needed to stop before they got too carried away. He told Angela he was thinking of a future with her, even marriage, but he had to make some decisions about his own future before he can consider building one with her. Angela agreed to give him time to sort things out and they hugged.

best quote:

(After they kiss)
"Tony: …I think we, uh, both know where this is leading to…
Angela: …yeah, what’s your point?
Tony: Well, I mean call me old fashioned, but, uh, I don’t think we can do this until we’re married.
Angela: Until!?
Tony: Ah, no, I don’t mean until. I mean unless.
Angela: Unless?
Tony: I don’t know, uhh …maybe? It went through my mind.
Angela: You’ve thought about us getting married?"

I think we should start seeing other people

Tony sleeps with someone else but Angela has the last word (ep. 145 : The all nighters)

Tony went with his classmates to a hotel to study for a test without interruptting Angela's business meeting, and he ended up staying with one of the students, Kathleen, after the others already went home. They soon found out they have much in common and ended up sleeping together (sure, but he won't sleep with Angela before they got married!). Feeling guilty, Tony wanted to tell Angela about it but didn't have the courage, but when Angela invited Kathleen over to study with Tony, she soon picked it up herself and Tony admitted he wasn't sure if Kathleen was just a one night thing for him. They discussed about it in Angela's study and she told him she didn't want to lose what they had, so it was best if they let the relationship run its course and start seeing other people (In your face, Tony!). Angela not only threatened, she also went through with it and so in the 7th season Angela had several boyfriends, leaving Tony to eat his heart out with his boring girlfriend. When Tony finally broke up with Kathleen, he excepted Angela to dump her recent boyfriend and run into his arms, but she made him regret ever looking at anyone else and went out with her guy instead of staying with Tony to comfort him. Say what you want, but she totally rocked!

best quote:

"Tony: You... you've had feelings? For people?
Angela: Yeah.
Tony: MEN people? When?
Angela: Well, I don't know... well, last month when I went to Wisconsin and I met this Ad Exec... and we hit it off, nothing happened, but... I was tempted.
Tony: Tempted? In the Dairy State?
Angela: My, my point is that… I don’t know… what’s happening… with us. But I think it’s important that we let it run its course. (beat)
Angela (in tears): Tony, I… have become closer to you than to almost anyone. And I don’t want to lose that.
Tony: Well, neither do I!
Angela: So… you know, maybe this is part of our journey. Maybe we have to go through this to see if we can go any further."

It's time I said: "I love you"

Tony and Angela are finally together (ep. 173: Seer of Love)

Angela finally decided to tell Tony how she felt about him, so for their 7th anniversary she bought him a watch with an inscription said: "It's time I said: I love you". Expecting a romantic gift from him, Angela was disappointed when Tony bought her seats covers, and even more so when for their anniversary, he took everyone to a carnival. While there, Tony and Angela went to a fortune teller, who's powers Tony didn't believe in, and she told him that his relationship with someone will change drastically tonight. Angela hoped Tony'd get the message but he missed the point and Angela stormed out, fed up. After she left, the fortune teller told Tony that the woman he kissed that night would be his forever, and if he didn't kiss her, he would lose her forever. Finally realizing, Tony rushed after Angela into the "tunnel of love", and finally- finally! - told her he loved her, and they kissed.

best quote:

"Tony: Look, this has nothing to do with her stupid predictions. Its just that, I mean, if there’s one chance in a million that I could lose you, then I don’t want to take it!
Angela: Why?
Tony: Because I Love You!
Angela: What did you say?
Tony: What did you hear? No, No. I said it and I meant it. I love you. I've loved you for a long time. The only reason why I haven’t said it before was because I was afraid of losing what we have. But, ummm, if loving you is going to ruin that, then I’m willing to ruin it.
Angela: You would ruin our friendship for love?
Tony: In a second. I'd throw it in the garbage. I'd spit on it. I'd flush it down the toilet.
Angela: Oh, Tony, that is so beautiful.
(they kiss)

Telling the family

You can run, but you cannot hide (ep.174: An affair to forget)

The day after "Seer of love", Angela was ready to announce their love to everybody but Tony felt uncomfortable with having the family too much involved with their personal life and they decided to keep their relationship a secret for a while. In order to have an evening alone together in the house they had to make up lies and sneak around and eventually had to go to a hotel, but even there they couldn't have privacy. They ended up sitting in their car next to a lake, and when things started to heat up the car suddenly started sliding into the river. A policeman that came to their rescue called Mona and the kids and Tony and Angela had to finally admit that they are no longer "just friends".

best quote:

"Tony : I love Angela
Sam : Yeah ?!?
Tony : No, you don't understand. Angela and I are in love.
Mona : Oh my God !!"

Will you marry me?

Tony and Angela propose to each other (ep. 179/80: Death and Love)

Tony was having a mid-life crisis after his friend died, so he invited the family to a ski trip on which he planned to ask Angela to marry him. Unfortunately, Angela got into a series of accidents that ruined the trip completely for her and when Tony proposed eventually, she turned him down, unsure of his sincerity about why he wanted to marry her. He tried a second time, but she rejected him again, and her rejection put Tony in a very tough spot. Eventually, after her mother helped to clear things up, Angela was the one to neal down and propose to Tony, and he accepted. Awwww. How 90's.

best quote:

"Angela: Anthony, I love you with all my heart, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you ....Will you marry me?"

Harsh decisions

Tony's new career is threatening his relationship with Angela (ep. 194/5/6: Savor the veal)

After graduating, Tony got a job as a teacher in Lowa and Angela, always behind her man, encouraged him to take it eventhough it was a job miles away from home. At first, Angela and Tony took turns in flying to each other in order to maintain their relationship, but eventually Angela agreed to move to Lowa and live with Tony. She tried to be a good housewife while Tony made his way up in his new career, but soon felt that she missed home and her own career at the agency, and she moved back to Conneticut, leaving Tony alone in Lowa. Is this the end of Tony and Angela?

best quote:

"Tony: Angela, what are you saying? That we can't make this thing work out?
Angela (in tears): I'm sorry... "
(Angela leaves the room, leaving Tony frozen in his place)

The look

End of story, there's your closure (ep. 196: Savor the veal 3)

In the last scene of the show, Angela went down the stairs wearing a bath robe. She opened the door and found, to her surprise- Tony, looking for a job as a house keeper. Sounds familiar? This is no coincidence. The ending scene of the show was similar to the first one. Tony and Angela's love story ended the same way that it's began. Brilliant ending to a brilliant show- Tony and Angela are back together, forever.

best quote:

"Angela: Tony, I don't want you to ever resent this.
Tony: Angela, the only thing I resented was being without you.
(they kiss)
Angela: You got the job."

So, there you go. These are only some of the many many moving moments between Tony and Angela throughout the show. If there are any mistakes or info left out, I apologize, the reason is that I simply didn't get to watch all the episodes mentioned above, so some of the info is out of things I read and heard about. Also, some of the quotes are out of my own memory, so they might be a bit inaccurate. Sorry!
