She watched the world begin to fade from before her eyes as the vampire drained her, and she felt her life slipping away. Although her body ached with pain, she knew it would all be over soon. Her mind drifted over all that had happened in her life, and all that hadn't. One memory in particular brought a smile to her lips, even now. Angel. She thought back over the time that they'd had, and the love that had been all theirs...the love that couldn't be. She saw a flash of light before her eyes, and felt herself begin to seperate from her body. Then she was drifting, through space and time, to a place she knew only as Home. She was no longer bound to the physical world, was free of her previous life. One thought crossed her mind, and her soul knew the answer..knew the truth. 'Someday, love.' she thought.
