Buffy's a Slayer, born to kill vamps as the Chosen One. A dark, and mysterious guy shows up to help her out occasionally, warning her of new dangers, and falling head-over-heels for her. Then, she finds out he's a vamp, which she was taught were all evil, demons, and was born to destroy them. When she finds him by her mom, who has vamp-bite marks on her neck, she throws him out, then sets out to kill him. She later finds out it was Darla, his sire, the vamp that made him, that hurt her mom, and not Angel. It turns out Angel(Angelus) was such an evil vampire, he'd kill anyone at anytime. He killed a gypsy girl, and the elders put a curse on him, they restored his soul. He now had to live with the guilt of all the people he'd killed, the lives he'd destroyed. When Darla tried to kill Buffy, he killed Darla, his sire. Despite his attempts to push Buffy away, out of fear of what might happen, the urge that he might not be able to control, their love continued to grow. They grew closer, their love grew stronger. They continued to fight for each other, occasionally with each other, and finally, stopped pushing each other away. Then, on Buffy's 17th birthday, they didn't hold back at all, took their relationship to a new level. That was his one moment of true happiness, when he wasn't thinking about all of the things he'd done in the past. Seeing as his curse was basically to make him suffer, and he wasn't suffering then, the curse was broken, and he lost his soul. He became the evil vamp he had once been, terrorizing Buffy and her friends, killing mercilessly. She even took off the Claddagh Ring he'd given her for her birthday, losing hope of his return. Then, they found the soul restoration spell Miss Calendar had been working on right before Angelus had killed her. Angelus was planning on calling forth a demon which would create a vortex that would suck everything on Earth into Hell, literally. Evil creatures would walk freely, while all humans would be subject to eternal torment. Willow had tried the spell, causing more to get hurt, some to die. When Buffy and Angelus were battling to the death, his soul was suddenly restored, Willow had tried again. He didn't remember a thing. Angel and Buffy held each other, and the vortex formed behind him. They kissed, and she plunged the sword into him, causing him to be swallowed by 'Acathla'(the demon), and thus sparing the world. Then, Buffy left Sunnydale. She was born to hate and kill his kind, but they fell in love. They were ripped apart by a turn of events, by happiness, and what should've been their salvation, turned out to be their end(sort of). Yes, I'd say they can easily be compared to Romeo and Juliet, the only difference? We don't know how their story ends, yet. @~>~~~
