"The Testimony"
What is this I seek?
just show me a glimpse for
I'm feeling weak
no longer can I stand
wanting peace in this
hellish wasteland
In the midst of many
I feel only You
speaking words of the heart
Life, Love, and all that's True
taking my hand
I climb so high
seeing clearly
for the very first time
the light lost in youth
once again becomes mine
a gift of Your love
Your selfless sacrifice
What could I give
to match that price?
That is why
to You
I surrender my life
Take me in
for I am Yours
silently I scream Your name
down Your love pours
straight from the heavens
my spirit You claimed
when You gave Your life on the cross
and silently screamed my name
Pushing away the wordly life
the inner battle remains
demons want to overtake my spirit
and bound it in old chains
"Never again!" I say
for now the LORD lights my way
My holy vessel sanctified
I now walk in confident stride
from men or You I have nothing to hide
I have my best friend with whom I can confide
Three saints venture into darkness
But fear touches them not
the light of the Lord pierces the darkness
the demons run as if being shot
The three know their place
to those unsaved
their words speak
true love, life, and grace
In a moment a riot breaks
they hold their ground
waiting for God to tell
what they are to do
there is no need for words
bullets fly all around
the three are shot
and fall down
In that moment when the smoke is cleared
to everyone's eyes a horrible sight appeared
the three saints lay dead
until the end
untouched by fear
many grow confused
some started to cry
upon all lips was the one word
"Why?"
All the guilty parties involved
come to the service
to learn more of the saints
and Whom they worshipped
The pastor spoke
"Perfect love casts away all fear."
then a murmuring
came to his ear
he asks his children
what is on their mind
These saints had perfect love
for they were not held by fear
where could they possibly find
this perfect love
the pastor replied
"Speak to the Lord above."
For he alone can give
true peace
turning blood sins
whiter than fleece
He will take you from internal bondage
and bring you true release
The masses went home
confused and alone
not sure of the way
yet finding truth
in the path shown
Some turn from their ways
while others remain lost
and some go back
into the tempest they are tossed
to the hands of the devil
and their old sinful life
full of darkness, pain,
and unending strife
And from three deaths
what has been learned?
on those dwelling in sin
innocent blood will burn
The three who lived
for Him alone
showered infectious love
upon hearts of stone
knowing if by giving their life
they would save just one
it would repay the price
heavenly tears
down His face would run
each drop of compassionate love
shed of the one Begotten Son
A perfect end
to a perfect love
in that moment
the rains shall part
shining down warmth
from the Father above
to assure those alive
that all is still well
to remain consumed by His love
and of all his awesomeness tell
to those unsaved
whom on earth dwell
I, being one of the three slain,
say goodbye my friend
and farewell.
