Interview!
The interview is from Denmark, in the studio Snurre Snups Søndagclub. In the studio there is a lot of kids, who are watching the show. Friday, October 30, 1998, but on tv Sunday, November 8, 1998. First they play the song "I'll be there for you". The man who is doing the interview is called Bubber. They are singing the song and is going over to Bubber.
Bubber: The whole way from Canada The Moffatts! Take a seat on the couch. Welcome, welcome, welcome, welcome and have a seat.
All: Hi, Hello, thanks..........
Bubber: You must be very, very tired it's early in the morning.
Scott: Yes it is.
Bubber: I mean you haven't slept in your beds in half a year. You must be tired?
Clint:Thats right
All: Yes we are. ~Laughing~
Bubber: Is it a top of life to be the popstars, to be popular, and traveling around?
Scott: Well we think that stars come out at night, so we do our thing , go on stage and make our music, make people happy through our music and we enjoy what we are doing.
All: Thats correct ~laughing~ (because Bubber was saying something on danish, and they didn't understand a word of what he was saying).
Bubber: I just try to translate a little bit. But you are not home most of the time, what you do?
Clint: We are touring a lot, because what we do, we play music, so we have to go around the world, we have to promote our records, so that's a basic thing for us and we love doing it.
Bubber: Are you very happy?
All: Yes we are.
Scott: It is incredible to be here in Denmark, it is a beautiful country.
Bubber: How long for this time, how many days?
All: 4 days
Scott: And it is great to be here, because Denmark and pretty much all of Scandinavia is really reminecent of a lot of Canada,BC and that's where we are from.
Dave: Thats reminds us alot of where we are from.
Scott: Yes
Bubber: What reminds you, what's like Canada?
All: The climate
Dave: Also just the scenery
Bubber: The buildings, the towns?
Bubber: The wathers, the oceans, the towns
All: Yes, yes, yes....
Bubber: Then it must be a little cold in then winter, but you are use to that in Canada?
Clint: Yes it is
All: Yes it is cold in the winter
Bubber: You go skiing , what you do?
Clint: We went skiing
Bubber: When you are home?
Clint: We went skiing once in mel Washington for Christmas, that was beautiful, but we were doing a show in Swizerland, when we were doing a concert, and we had a couple of days off in the Alps.
Bubber: YES!!!! But I'll see, well i know you are into skateboards aren't you?
All: now
Bubber: Ohh... well I looked at the record (Chapter 1) Skateboards, skiing now.
Scott: Actually..... we were skiing we newer went to snowboards, we really enjoy skiing it is a really exciting thing to us full thorado (power) down the hill.
Bubber: You moved from Canada, you moved to Tennessee.
Clint: Actually.... we moved to Tennessee, because over in Tennesee at the time we were singing country music, and we had a couple of albums out with country music.
Bubber: What's country music,...................... like Dolly Parton
All: Yeah!!
Clint:I've had a thing for Dolly Parton once you know, when she was 50 years old. ( Dolly Parton born 1946)
Dave: Clint was always thinking maybe she would wait for him to when he was grown up. (Bob agrees)
Bubber: Was it a crush?
Clint: Yes sort of ( he doesn't know what to say)
Bubber: Is it the first time he ever said that in public.
Clint:No, yes ( he still don't know what to say)
Scott: This is definitely the first time he says this, because this was never even brought up!!
Bubber: This is a secret, because this was a thing nobody even knew about the group, you have been in love with Dolly Parton. What was it with Dolly Parton?
Clint: uhhhhhhh......... Well you know a thing. ~laughs~ ~All his brothers are laughing at him to~ I never got to meet her, but I think you know she looks like a great person. ~laughs~
Bubber: she got........(and doing something with his hands and arms)
Clint: hey, hey..... this is kids television
Bubber: she got a great voice.
Clint: i was just saying that this is kids telivison so...
Bubber: i mean she got a great voice so good.
~and they all agree~ And now is it over?
Clint: I keep getting over it.
Bubber: so you are still waiting for her
Clint: i'm still looking thats the reason why im here in Scandinavia, to keep looking.
(Clint means he is here in Scandinavia to find a girl, not to look for Dolly Parton.)
Bubber: okay lets get the family bounds here, you are 3 triplets.(stupid question there is always 3 triplets) It's not like one person right?
Dave: Clint and Bob are identical twins
Bob: But our personalety is completly different.
(Bubber is translating and looking at the boys, and they don't know what he is saying, so they are just keeping there mouth open. it looks really funny)
Bubber: You are from outside(talking to Dave) But still from the same stomach. (of cours, where else.)
Dave: If Clint let his hair grow we all have the same point, and clint and Bob look actually like the same. When we look in our old books they look completely the same.
Scott: Same eyebrows, same nose, same outfit.
Bubber: Why did you cut your hair (talking to clint)
Clint: Scott always wanted to dye the front, and when we came back from the mamagers office in Nashville we did it, and then my dad said: "Can I shave your head?"And I said, "Well that could be a cool idea." And i ended up with this. And I never expected to keep it i just did.
(Dave wanted to say something.)
Bubber: Just a minute. Then you get a chok? (I think she meant choice)
Clint: Then i get a chok. (I think she meant choice)now actually i stayed with it, because it was totally new. And it was not something a lot of people had.
Bubber: and you where saying?
Dave: Acutally first time Scott and Clint dyed their hair it turned out to be red.
Scott: so for a week we walked around with red hair.
Bob: If you want to dye your hair we can arrange it.
Clint: Then you have to keep it.
Bubber: then it has to be in Tennessee, next time i go to Tennessee I'll dye my hair.I'll get somebody you should meet. Come here girls.
(Then there is comming 2 Danish girls called Tina and Louise in, and sitting in a chair ower to the boys.)
Bubber: They've been writing to us.
(The boys are standing up and saying hi to the girls.)
Bubber: The have looked forward to this moment, and have gifts for you. They can give you 2 questions. Because they are fans of yours.
Girl 1: Do you only speak english?
Dave: we are learning spanish.
Scott: ................espangole (showing what he can 3 words)
Bubber: so you are speaking a little bit spanish
Scott: yes ( and show with his fingers a little bit)
Bubber: are you thinking to do a spanish song
Scott: Acutally we are thinking about it you know. For the next album. (Chapter 2)
Girl 2: How do you write your songs like the melody first or the words...
Clint: When we write our songs it depends...mostly Scott takes his accoustic guitar and we find the melody, and then find the text to that. We don't necessarily have an idea when we are going in to the room, sometimes it just pops in to our head so we are doing a lot of writing. And getting some help from our father (Frank), or our stepmother (Shiela).
Bubber: isn't it amazing when you are going to so many countries how good we speak your language?
Scott: well people always say: I'm sorry but my english is very bad, and then we go: well you speak better our language then we speak yours. So you know BRAVO to you.
Bubber: how did you get your names, no not names i mean your group name?
Now they are going to joke about it:
Bob: Well it comes from a planet called Moffatt, and thats where we are from, acutally it's the new planet they just found it.
Bubber: Moffatt is a planet?
Bob: keep it confidential, don't tell anybody
Bubber: i heard it was a town in Scotland
All: yes it is
Clint: there is 2 Moffatts, we came from it and built a town.
Dave: it is there our spaceship crashed.
Bubber: the spaceship from this planet called Moffatt, crashed in a little town in Scottland. And when you hear about it you would call yourself Moffatts.
(All laughing at Bubber, because he didn't find out that it's a joke)
Bubber: Such a little town, is here in Denmark too. It's called Viersted.
All: oh yeah (and loock interested)
Then the interview is over, but they are back in a moment. Now it's time to sing a song. It's a birthdaysong, because in the show who is coming every Sunday, there is somebody who is singing a birthdaysong, and now it is THE MOFFATTS!!
All: Happy, Happy, Happy, Happy (they are singing this verry slow)

Last when the show is over there is one song back, and it is from The Moffatts "I Miss You Like Crazy" You hear the song and the show is over. And next Sunday there is a new band comming .
