Baked French Toast
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup margarine
- 2 T. lite corn syrup
- 5 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1 loaf of French Bread, sliced
Preparation -
Heat brown sugar, margarine and
syrup until melted together; Stir. Pour into a 9" x 13" pan. Arrange slices of
bread in a ingle layer in pan. Beat eggs; add milk
and sugar; pour over the bread slices. Cover with foil or plastic wrap and
refrigerate overnight.
Uncover and bake at 350º for
30 to 35
minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes before
serving. You will not need additional syrup for this
French Toast.
