Who are Prozzak / Simon and Milo ?
| Prozzak [Now also know as Simon and Milo in the United States] Consists of two cartoon members simon and milo. In real life they are Jason Levine and James Mccollum [ in that order] you may recognize them from the Canadian band The Philosopher Kings (no longer together)! They were born in Montreal Canada and are therefore Canadaian. James and Jay didnt start out to be friends though...they were mortal enemies throught thier time together in the philosopher kings but put thier differences aside and decided to write songs together. Milo [James] always sung in a fake british accent on the pk's tourbus and then wrote the song Europa. Most of the other songs pertain to Jason's life and about his true search for love [ like Anna-Lisa is about his parents , and New York is really about how he and a girlfriend couldnt afford to move to eachother. The battle mentioned in the prozzak story [ see HERE ] Jay and James got into a fight... Jason still has a scar from it.. so as you can see prozzaks songs and characters have a lot to do with the real people behind them.
You may notice they sing with a british accent-thats all fake..but it adds to the origonality of thier music.They have released two cd's [Hotshow, which has already become double platnium in Canada. And Saturday People, which is the band's current Canadian release] and have released four videos Sucks To Be You, Omobolasire , Strange Disease , Wild Thing.[They also have just released a home video vhs with a few more videos...buy it if you see it , it's great]. The band is currently [March 5th,2002] planning a release of a new collaboration album in the U.S. Called Ready Ready Set Go that includes a new song: "Get A Clue". Sucks To Be You Was The first ever totally animated video to hit #1 on muchmusic , in Canada , and strange disease followed rising to #1 shortly after. The two [ Jay and James] were rivals before starting up Prozzak , they even got into a fight [much like the Prozzak story as to how the cartoon characters met].
