Doctrine of Faith
The following is the doctrine of faith of the Church of the True and Faithful.
- We believe that there is One True God who has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent "I AM", the Creator of heaven and earth (Deut. 6:4; Isa. 43:10-11)
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired and revealed word of the Living God, which contains everything we need to know regarding salvation (2 Tim. 3:15) and how to behave in order to please God (1 Thess. 4:1-8). His Word is forever standing (Matt. 24:35). All correction and teaching must, therefore, be backed by the Bible to be valid.
- We believe that Jesus Christ eternally existed before coming to earth as the Messiah (Micah 5:2; John. 1:1, John 8:58) and became man when born of a virgin (Matt. 1:23; 1 Tim. 2:5). He lived a sinless life (1 Pet. 2:22), shed His blood on the cross for our sins (1 Cor. 15:3; Col. 1:20), died there (Lk. 23:46 cf. Jam. 2:26a) and was bodily raised on the third day (Lk. 24:39; 1 Cor. 15:4). He afterwards ascended into Heaven, leaving a promise of his return (Acts 1:11). He has now returned to earth in spirit and body, born of woman (Revelation 12:1-2,5) as Pedahzur.
- We believe in the fall of man (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:17; 3:6; Rom. 5:12-19). We believe that man and woman were originally created in the image of God, good and upright, but fell into sin by voluntary transgression. All mankind thereby incurred, not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God. Only through regeneration can Salvation and spiritual life be obtained, for sin has alienated sinners from God, darkened their minds, crippled their wills and made them unfit and unable to serve God.
