HISTORY

Hey kids. I decided to re-do the History because I don't think I did a very good job when I first wrote it for the site. So I'm gonna give it another go.

The Fault began late in the summer of 2000. Alexander Frederick Harris, Timothy Deforrest Gardiner, and Andrew J. Mauriello started The Fault. The Fault is a rock band. A good rock band. There's nothing whiney or pussy about the kids.

Alex and Tim had been playing together for years in a band by the name of Call me Cougah, and Alex and Andy were both in a band called 4 Heads Deep. When The Fault was started all they knew was that Alex wanted to write harder songs (not hard as in hard to play) and they knew their name would be The Fault. It was a variation of a band name possibility Alex thought of, but Andy changed into The Fault. They started practices with about 4 or 5 songs, not really knowing what their specific sound would be. At first The Fault was kinda...almost a hardcore band in a way. Alex being in 4 Heads Deep had an influence on his song writing and caused him to almost overdo it when he tried to write "harder songs." But eventually the songs started slowing down a little and becoming more melodic, settling as something that sounds almost like a slower hardcore band with melody. They're not as hip as a hardcore band, I'm just saying there's an influence there.

The Fault debuted at a show in Alex's living room with Close to Later and WindexXx (containing The Fault's Tim Gardiner on vocals). The result was pretty good, and the turn out was great considering how cramped and hot it was in the room. A decent amount of people seemed impressed and have been bothering the hell out of the band to play again.

Since then, Andy has decided to step out from behind the drumset to have a beer or two. While he was at it, he decided he wanted to play guitar from now on. So The Fault picked up the one and only John Zuffante to take up drumming duties. You may remember John as one of the founding members of 4 Heads Deep, and a former member of Wagner. John is actually the first drummer Alex ever played with. True story. Over 4 years ago Alex and John met and decided to hang out in John's room and play Green Day songs. And here he is now. Funny how things come full circle like that.

Now the band is a 4 piece and they honestly rock more than ever. That's the story.

We are the Fault. We are a band from the little known city of Quincy, Massachusetts. Look around, the sections change in the middle.

.BAND NEWS.

It's good news actually. Very good news. John Zuffante has joined us as our new drummer. What does this mean for Andy you ask? That's rather simple, he's our new second guitarist. So the lineup is as follows:
Alex: guitar/vox.
Tim: bass/yellin'
Andy: 2nd guitar/backing vox.
John-o: drums.
The Bio & History will be updated to fit these changes soon.
