"Gerry" Lenfest was elected chairman of the Curtis Institute of Music yesterday at the conservatory's board meeting, burnishing a leadership portfolio matched by few - if any - other local arts leaders in recent years. Lenfest, 75, will take over at the Curtis board from Richard A. Doran on June 1, at the same time as another major transition, when Roberto Diaz replaces Gary Graffman as president.
