FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Vacancy Soundtrack VACANCY - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK -- COMPOSED BY PAUL HASLINGER TO BE RELEASED ON AUGUST 28, 2007 (August 14, 2007, New York, NY) Commotion Records, dedicated to releasing soundtrack albums for independent films, will release the chilling score for the film Vacancy, composed by Paul Haslinger (Tangerine Dream) on August, 28, 2007. The film, which came out this past summer, will be released on DVD on August 14, 2007. Grammy-nominated composer Paul Haslinger has delivered an eerie and heart pounding score to accompany the suspense and terror of the film, Vacancy. Having gained notoriety while playing in the band Tangerine Dream, Haslinger has more recently focused his career on soundtracks. The music from Vacancy arranges intricate layers of intense sounds that begin very quietly and build to a wild crescendo. Traditional instrumentation coupled with electronic music make this a uniquely scored thriller. At one point a heart monitor is cleverly used to provide for a particularly chilling notion of impending doom. Haslinger said, "I believe the resulting soundtrack makes a statement about our time, about our ability to mix and match across periods and styles, and to do so in a way that is both eclectic and forward driving in it's creative design." Classically trained in Salzburg and Vienna, Haslinger's transition into scoring films has been completely natural. In addition to various solo projects and numerous scores his recent efforts include: Underworld, The Girl Next Door, The Italian Job and contributing music to Stephen Spielberg's, Minority Report. Haslinger has also earned a Grammy nomination for his work on the album, Canyon Dreams as well as an Emmy nomination for scoring the television mini series, Sleeper Cell: Al Faitha. Vacancy is the story of Amy and David Fox (played by Kate Beckinsale and Luke Wilson), a couple who make the horrific decision to stay at the Pinewood Motel. The tension immediately builds as the newlyweds begin to notice something is very wrong, and their lives are in grave danger. The intensity that follows is greatly accentuated by the score's great dynamic highs and lows. Conjuring up hints of Hitchcock's, Psycho, Vacancy is a modern day thriller that feels like a horror film without the cliché of constant on screen violence. Haslinger was able to take this and as he describes, "tip my hat to my favorite film composer of all times, Bernard Hermann." This is evident in the Main Title credit music, "with its reference to bygone thriller-noir days." Commotion Records has a history of great soundtrack releases including Mysterious Skin, Happy Endings, Code 46, The Cooler, and Oscar Winning film Hotel Rwanda. Vacancy, along with the Commotion releases, Broken English (Directed by Zoe Cassavetes with music from Scratch Massive, I Am Kloot and Juan Trip) and The Ten (composed by Paul Craig Wedren), will be in stores on August 28, 2007.

The soundtrack for one of this summer's most anticipated action thrillers, The Bourne Ultimatum, starring Academy Award®-winner Matt Damon, will be released July 31 on Decca. Composer John Powell (United 93, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Identity) once again scored original music for this latest installment in the Bourne series. A new version of Moby's hit song "Extreme Ways," which was the end-title song for the first two movies, is also featured. Steeped in classical tradition, yet drawn to the idea of turning it on its head, John Powell has composed a series of acclaimed motion picture soundtracks since arriving in America. He has written imaginative scores for such films as Happy Feet, X-Men, United 93, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. He is one of the most sought after composers in Hollywood today, with directors including Steve Spielberg choosing him to write the scores for their films. Rapidly approaching the ranks of the James Bond theme song, Moby's "Extreme Ways" has become the instant tune you hum when thinking of the Bourne movies. The energetic tempo, coupled with Moby's haunting voice, makes for a perfect theme song to this thrilling film. Matt Damon returns as the trained assassin Jason Bourne for the latest showdown in The Bourne Ultimatum. In the follow-up to 2002's The Bourne Identity and 2004's The Bourne Supremacy-the smash hits that have earned more than $500 million at the global box office-acclaimed director Paul Greengrass (United 93, The Bourne Supremacy) joins returning cast members Julia Stiles and Joan Allen and new additions David Strathairn, Scott Glenn, Paddy Considine, Edgar Ramirez and Albert Finney. The film arrives in theaters on August 3.

No Reservations
Now Playing: FEATURING ORIGINAL MUSIC BY FAMED COMPOSER PHILIP GLASS
Topic: PHILIP GLASS
The new movie, No Reservations, starring Academy Award®-winner Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago) and Golden Globe® nominee Aaron Eckhart (Thank You for Not Smoking), is destined to become the romantic film of the summer. This culinary comedy drama, directed by Oscar-nominated Scott Hicks (Shine), is set in a New York City restaurant and also features Academy Award® nominee Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine). The soundtrack will be released on Decca July 24th. The recipe for this musical masterpiece starts with a generous helping of Italian arias performed by world-renowned tenor Pavorotti, Renata Telbaldi, Joan Sutherland, Carlo Bergozzi, and Joseph Calleja. Next, contemporary ingredients were added such as; Michael Buble, Liz Phair, Paolo Conte, & Ray Gelato. Finally, combine with original music by Oscar-winning composer, Philip Glass.

The end result is the perfect collection of music to compliment this traditional love story set in modern times. Philip Glass has been the music mastermind to such acclaimed films as Notes of a Scandal and The Illusionist. Glass remains one of the most important American composers. His music is distinctive, haunting, and evocative. Either heard alone or on film, his compositions move the listener to unexplored places. Master Chef Kate Armstrong (Catherine Zeta-Jones) lives her life like she runs her kitchen at a trendy Manhattan eatery-with a no-nonsense intensity that both captivates and intimidates everyone around her. Kate's perfectionist nature is put to the test when she "inherits" her nine-year-old niece Zoe (Abigail Breslin), while contending with a brash new sous-chef who joins her staff. High-spirited and freewheeling, Nick Palmer (Aaron Eckhart) couldn't be more different from Kate, yet the chemistry between them is undeniable. This Warner Bros. film opened nationwide on July 27, 2007.

WARNER BROS. RECORDS TO RELEASE HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK ON JULY 10TH POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX

Soundtrack to Fifth Installment of Blockbuster Harry Potter Film Franchise Scored by Award-Winning British Composer Nicholas Hooper (June 14, 2007, Burbank, CA): Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Original Motion Picture Soundtrack - the score to the highly anticipated feature film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - will be released by Warner Bros. Records on Tuesday, July 10th, the day before the movie opens in theatres across the U.S. and Canada on Wednesday, July 11th.

The fifth installment of the blockbuster fantasy adventure franchise has been scored by award-winning British composer Nicholas Hooper, who has enjoyed a long association with the film's director, David Yates. Hooper and Yates have worked extensively together in television, as well as on the feature The Tichborne Claimant. Most recently, Hooper won the 2007 BAFTA TV Award for Best Original Music for his score for the telefilm Prime Suspect - The Final Act, starring Helen Mirren. He was also nominated for a 2006 BAFTA TV Award for his score to the Yates-directed drama The Girl in the Café. Hooper follows in the footsteps of the previous Harry Potter composers: Patrick Doyle, who scored 2005's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and John Williams, who composed the music for the first three Harry Potter films, which together were nominated for three Grammy Awards and two Oscars, and sold more than a million copies worldwide.

Based on the fifth book in the series of best-selling novels by British author J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix finds Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) returning for his fifth year of study at Hogwarts only to discover that much of the wizarding community has been led to believe that the story of the teenager's recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) is a lie, putting Harry's integrity in question. Worse, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge (Robert Hardy), has appointed a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, the duplicitous Professor Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton). But Professor Umbridge's "Ministry-approved" course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the Dark Forces threatening them, so at the prompting of his friends Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint), Harry takes matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students, Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead.

"I saw the scoring of this Harry Potter film as a great opportunity to work with such important themes on a grand scale," Hooper says. "David Yates and I started early, even before filming started, working on such themes as Ministry of Magic, Umbridge, and Voldemort. However, as we came closer to the final cut, the music developed beyond what we had first imagined, so there was that inevitable race against time. My process is one of discovery, rather than having a specific plan. This can be nerve-wracking, but it has its creative benefits." Hooper recorded nearly two hours of music at London's fabled Abbey Road Studios, famous for its acoustics and ambience. His team included engineer Peter Cobbin (the Lord of the Rings trilogy), and conductor Alastair King (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest) who conducted the Chamber Orchestra of London. "The team was the best around," Hooper says. "We had a complete rapport and I always felt that they knew what we were trying to achieve."

Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Heyday Films production, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Brendan Gleeson, Richard Griffiths, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Alan Rickman, Fiona Shaw, Maggie Smith, Imelda Staunton, David Thewlis, Emma Thompson, and Julie Walters. Directed by David Yates, the film is produced by David Heyman and David Barron, with Lionel Wigram executive producing. The screenplay is by Michael Goldenberg, based on the novel by J.K. Rowling. Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment company, will release the film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on July 11th, 2007 in the United States and Canada.

ALEPH RECORDS TO RELEASE SOUNDTRACK THE ENFORCER

CONSUMER INFORMATION

The Third Film of the Five Film 'Dirty Harry' Series, The Enforcer Was The Only of the Five Films Composed by Jerry Fielding (May 1, 2007- Los Angeles, CA) - Aleph Records will release the soundtrack for The Enforcer on June 26. The Enforcer was the third film of the five film "Dirty Harry" series, and the only of the films composed by the late composer Jerry Fielding. The other four films all boasted scores by Lalo Schifrin. Aleph Records, has also released the scores for the first two films of the series, Dirty Harry and Magnum Force. The entire original score for The Enforcer has never been released, only excerpts from the score appeared on the original soundtrack LP. The Enforcer, of course starred Clint Eastwood as Dirty Harry Callahan. The film also starred Tyne Daly as Inspector Kate Moore, his rookie partner. Callahan and Moore are on the hunt for a group of terrorists blackmailing the city of San Francisco. Though at first he is not pleased to be partnered with Moore, and in truth, Callahan's partners have not fared well in the past, Moore proves herself an able partner. Composer Jerry Fielding had a long and storied career. He began in the 40s as a bandleader with his own television show and fell victim to McCarthysm, blacklisted from Hollywood in the 1950s. His return to Hollywood came in 1962, hired by Otto Preminger to compose the score for Advise and Consent. He began working in episodic television, scoring episodes of both Mission: Impossible and Star Trek. It was his work on Noon Wine that started Fielding's relationship with Sam Peckinpah, which would lead Fielding back to the big screen. When Lalo Schifrin, composer of both Dirty Harry and Magnum Force, was unavailable to compose the score for The Enforcer, the job fell to composer Jerry Fielding. Fielding was perhaps best known for his collaborations with Sam Peckinpah, (The Wild Bunch, Straw Dogs, Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia) and Michael Winner (Scorpio, The Big Sleep, Lawman). For Fielding The Enforcer led to future collaborations with Clint Eastwood films like The Outlaw Josey Wales (his third and final Academy AwardT nomination), Escape From Alcatraz, and The Gauntlet. The Enforcer Original Score will be released by Aleph Records on June 26, 2007.
