Sis. Kala Dhas's Family

"Wait on the Lord, and Keep His way he shall exalt thee to inherit the land"

Waiting time is never a wating tim in the realm of God. Yes every soul that has waited upon the Lord has never been put to shame under any circumstances and if you would ask this dear sister about this she would readily utter thousands of "Yes" to this query with a heart of thanksgiving. On 18-11-1991. Sis. Kala and Bro. Dhas entered into the Holy covenant of marriage and very soon God gave them a winsome girl child on 26-10-1992 namely Amitha. Later God granted their plea in giving them a boy child namely Yeltson Mervin on 26-6-1997. Their waiting upon the Lord for six years for this son did not go in vain.

Sis. Kala professes, " I was the last among the six children in our family. We lost our father when I as just a year old and the whole responsibility fell on our elder brother's shoulders who anchored our family to the best of means. By God's infinite mercies I was able to get a seat in the Salvation Army mission Hospital in Andhra Pradesh and the Lord who gave me the seat also enabled me to finish the nursing course successfully. In September 1990 I happened to attend an interview for a placement in Saudi and was selected for the same, but during the formalities I was told by my brother that I should prepare myself for marriage, so I had to cancel the offer to my dismay.

Even my marriagge got delayed and it did not take off at the right time. Then I happened to attend one of the meetings of Bro.Dinakaran held at Bombay. As he was praying for those whose marriages were withheld, I too wept bitterly and prayed along. The only thing that I asked of the Lrd was to give me a God fearing husband from a good Christian background. God was so gracious and He granted this young heart's desire very soon and gave me a husband from the Pentecostal background. But sill my childhood's longing to work in a foreign land was always burning inside and I was hankering to go to gulf. Days, months and years passed like these. In 1994, in Bombay, of the many Tamil girls who had applied for foreign placements, by God's grace I was the only one who got the offer and finally my pleas were answered. I landed here with great excitation and my waiting upon the Lord for a decade had never gone waste, God was too good to fulfill even my secular desires.

The foremost thing that I desired after coming to Kuwait is to attend a spirit filled church. By the guidance of Sis.Jagathama I had the privilege to attend this blessed church. I was really enthralled when I could see the matchless presence of the Almighty moving amid the congregation. Later I was deeply pricked in my heart in not having taken water Baptism. I obeyed the word and took baptism under the hands of Pastor.Shunmugam on 31-03-1995. Thereafter the blessings poured in like great showers which if I have to write, it would surely consume many editions. But I would like to share one thing, back home my mother due to witchcraft fell sick and her Kidney got worsened and it was a matter of life and death. As a church we prayed and God heard that single prayer and she was wonderfully healed and she is far better than before. All glory to God on high!!
