Bro. R. Samuel's Family

I Praise and thank God for this precious opportunity that I can share with you about what the LORD has done to me in my life. We Read in I Peter 2 : 9,10 verses

"Him (JESUS) who has called you out of darkness into His marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God".

It is because my Master and Saviour Lord Jesus Christ has called my parents who were from a very staunch Hindu background(darkness) into the marvellous light of the Glorious Gospel of Christ, to-day I am counted one in the family of God. As for as me I am a born Christian. My Father and mother converted to Christianity because our Lord Jesus has intervened in their lives by a great miracle of raising their dead child (my eldest sister) alive by the fervent prayer of an English missionary Doctor. We are nine children to our parents and I am the eighth. When my father expired ,I was just 10 years old. At that time our family condition was economically weak because of suddenly loosing the head of the family and all the children in their tender ages.

So, all our Hindu relatives came and pressed my mother to return to the Hindu fold so that they can help us. But my prayerful mother stuck to her guns and stood firm in her faith refusing to budge to the enticing words of her relatives. We read in

I Thessalonians 5 : 24, "Faithful is He that calleth you…."

Our good Lord has time and again proved to our family that He is a faithful God in all our needs. From an economically weaker family background,the Lord has raised the social status of all of us. To-day I am in Kuwait as an Engineer. My younger brother who is the last of our family is a Senior Professor in Madras Christian College.We are all involved in Gods ministry.

Eventhough, I was born in a good Christian family, I was born-again only at the age os 20 and Got the immersion baptism (according to the scripture) when I was in Pune (serving in Indian Navy). Since then many a trials and testings came on my way. Friends and superiors in work place compelling me to drink and do unholy acts. My own flesh tempting me for ungodly things. But the gracious Lord has been continuously protecting me without a sleep or slumber. Eversince I was born-again I always seek Gods guidance for everything in my day to day life and for my future aswell. There is a burning desire in my heart to serve the Lord.I have been proclaiming the Gospel of Christ to my friends,in village ministries,street preaching,in churches,in youth meetings etc.

During my INDIAN NAVAL service I was posted in diferent places in India. The LORD enabled me to worship Him and be used in His service in the churches of different language people (English,Hindi,Telugu). When I took up my employment in Merchant Naval ship, I visited countries like Australia, Germany, Singapore. Whenever I entered a new city, I prayed to God to take me to a spiritual church fellowship for the Sunday worship. The Siprit of God had been wonderfully leading me to the right church fellowship where I can worship the Lord in the company of born-again Christians. I Could see with my own eyes that the Lord is preparing a group of people for His kingdom from every Nation, Kindred, people and tongues (Rev 7 : 9 ). When my colleagues use to go to various sinful entertainment places seeking worldly pleasure I use to go to the prayer fellowships in foreign countries seeking the Joy in the Lord. Thus the Lord has granted me a seperated life enabling me to fulfil the verse from II Corinthians 6 : 17 "Wherefore come out from them and be ye seperated"

During the last one decade I had been working in U.A.E, Qatar and now in Kuwait. The gracious Lord has given me good sipirtual church fellowships with born-again Christians so that I can continue to grow in my spiritual life.

The Lord has also given me a born-again wife who is involved in the Lords ministry along with Her aunt Sister.Sarah Navaroji in Chennai. The Lord has blessed us with a daughter who has just completed her +2 exams in Chennai. My desire and prayer is that she should take up Gods ministry as her primary profession.

The word that we read in Romans 8 : 30, "Whom He pre-destinate,them He also called, and whom He called them He also justified and whom He justified them He also glorified"is very very true with us and with all the chosen children God.
