On 21 December 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers raped and killed Thomaching Marma (14 year) of Baradulu village under Kaukhali. On that day she went to bring back family's cows from nearby forest. The Muslim settlers raped and killed the Buddhist girl when they found her alone in the forest.

Bangladesh army beat and rape indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Dighinala

On 20 September 1984, Bangladesh army from Dighinala cantonment raided Chongra Chari and Merung in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. During the raid, Bangladesh army severely beat 4 indigenous men and raped 4 indigenous women. The victims are:

1. Mr. Swarna Kanti Chakma (35), son of Mr. Gojendra Chakma of Chongra Chari. BD army serverely beat him, raped his wife and burnt down his house.
2. Mr. Mahendra Chakma (30), son of Mr. Sucharu Jiban Chakma of Chongra Chari. BD army severely beat him, raped his wife and burnt down his home.
3. Mr. Sunil Chandra Chakma (45), son of Mr. Moni Ram Chakma of Chongra Chari. BD army severely beat him, raped his wife and burnt down his house.
4. Mr. Durga Chandra Chakma (25), son of Mr. Sona Dhon Chakma of Chongra Chari. BD army serverely beat him, raped his wife and set his house alight.
