On 19-20 February 2010; Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous Buddhist people at Baghaichari. The settlers destroyed many indigenous houses and Buddhist temples. Bangladesh army torture an indigenous Chakma Buddhist in Longadu
On 18 January 1985, Bangladesh army from Bhaibon Chara camp in Longadu led by Captain Khaleque raided the house of Mr. Bimal Kanti Chakma (25), son of Mr. Man Kumar Chakma of Bhuiya Chara in Longadu, Rangamati district.
During the raid, Bangladesh army asked for bananas, severely beat him when he could not manage to get bananas for them, and abused him with filthy language.
