On 17 February 2011; Border Guards of Bangladesh and Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous Buddhist people at Longadu leaving at least 2 indigenous people seriously injured. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous Chakma Buddhists and grab their land. A Chakma couple pick up the pieces after the house was burnt down by the settlers.
APB extort money from indigenous people in Mohalchari
On 15 February 1985 at 9 p.m, Armed Police of Bangladesh led by Lutfur Rahman from the APB camp at Mohalchari rounded up all indigenous spectators after the evening show in the cinema hall was over at Mahalchari in Khagrachari district.
APB arrested 11 innocent indigenous men on suspicion of being members of the Shanti Bahini. He released 8 of the arrested indigenous persons after extorting Taka 4,000 from them. Lutfur Rehman would not release the remaining 5 persons unless and until they would pay him Taka 6,000.
