On 17 February 2011; Border Guards of Bangladesh and Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous Buddhist people at Longadu leaving at least 2 indigenous people seriously injured. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous Chakma Buddhists and grab their land.
Bangladesh army torture an indigenous Chakma Buddhist in Panchari
On 23 May 1985, Bangladesh army of 203rd Brigade from Bhaibon Chara Camp arrested Pandab Vijay Chakma (55) of Pagajya Chari in Panchari, Khagrachari district.
Bangladesh army arrested him on a pretext of having link with the Shanti Bahini. During the custody Bangladesh army tied and hang him upside down and poured water through his nose and mouth. Bangladesh army mercilessly beat him.
