On 25 December 1986 at 6:00 a.m Bangladeshi army personnel from the Dighinala cantonment rounded up Mr. Baribindu Chakma (38) son of Mr. Jatindra Lal Chakma of Sadhok Chara, Dighinala. Bangladesh army tied his hands and then severely beat him. Bangladesh army men laid him on the ground and kicked him like a football. They hammered his fingers. He was released after 8 and 1/2 hours of torture. He took refuge in Tripura state of India.

On February 2, 1986, an army unit of Maramchari Mukh army camp, Bormachari, led by Subedar Sikandar during its operation in the village ordered Khudi Aung Marma, 45 yrs, son of Hnara Aung Marma of Maramchari Mukh, P.S. Laxmichari, to supply them a bullock for a sumptuous meal and it was immediately complied with.

When Khudi Aung requested the army Subedar to pay the price of the bullock, the Subedar kicked him to the ground and ordered his soldiers to give him a good beating. The victim was severely beaten and inhumanly tortured. He was hung upside down and water was forced in his nose and mouth.

On February 4, 1986, Aungshei Headman, son of. Hla Brey Marma, of Maramchari Mukh, P.S. Laxmichari, was also beaten by the above Subedar of Maramchari Mukh army camp, when he pleaded to the Subedar to pay the price of the bullock to Khudi Aung Marma.
