On 3 April 2006, Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Mahalchari of Khagrachari. Indigenous Chakma children took refuge at Balipara Primary School after their villages were burnt down by the Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers.
Bangladesh army torture indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Dighinala
On 13 September 1986, Bangladesh army of Chongrachari Camp organized a meeting in Dighinala, Khagrachari district and compelled a number of indigenous Buddhist people to attend the meeting. After the meeting was over, Bangladesh army arrested and tortured following indigenous Chakma Buddhists:
