Bangladesh army and Benglali settlers murder 4 indigenous Buddhists in DighinalaOn 1 December 1986, Bangladesh army personnel from the army camp at Baghai Khat in Dighinala and Muslim settlers of Baghai Khat Bazar killed 4 indigenous Chakma Buddhists at Baghai Khat Bazar in Dighinala, Khagrachari district. On the day of incident, the indigenous Chakma Buddhists went to Baghai Khat Bazar for shopping. Muslim settlers attacked them without provocation and one of the 4 indigenous Chakma Buddhists was killed on the spot. 3 other indigenous persons managed to escape. They took refuge at the Bangladesh army camp. But instead of protecting them, Bangladesh army killed 3 indigenous Chakma Buddhists.
