Bangladesh army torture indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Panchari
On 12 December 1986, Bangladesh army of 19 EBR from Panchari Zone led by Capt. Faroque carried out a military operation against the indigenous Buddhist villages Surya Mohan Karbari Para of Tarabon, Panchari and Gajendra Karbari Para of Logang, Panchari. During the operation, following indigenous Chakma Buddhists were subjected to inhuman tortures:
