Bangladesh army the proctector of Muslim settlers
On 22 September 2012 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Rangamati. When the indigenous people counter attacked in self defence Bangladesh army took side with the Muslim settlers. 76 indigenous people were injured and numerous indigenous properties were destroyed.

Bangladesh army terrorizes indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Panchari.

On 3 January 1987, Bangladesh army of 19 EBR from the army camps at Logang Bazar and Sinala jointly carried out a military operation against the indigenous Buddhist village Bharat Varsa Karbari Para of Logang in Panchari, Khagrachari district.

Bangladesh army inhumanly tortured indigenous Buddhist inhabitants. Bangladesh army arrested 2 indigenous Chakma Buddhists during the operation. The victims are:

  1. Mr. Hiron Kumar Chakma, son of Mr. Bhagya Chakma, of Bharat Varsa Karbari Para of Logang, Panchari. Bangladesh army arrested and beat him, and then took him to the army camp for further torture and interrogation. He is still detained by Bangladesh army when this report is prepared.
  2. Mr. Modvat Chakma, son of Mr. Khogendra Lal Chakma, address as above.
  3. Mr. Jagdish Chakma of Bharat Varsa Karbari Para of Logang, Panchari. Bangladesh army beat and tortured him so inhumanly that he was lying senseless when the soldiers left the village.
