On 3 April 2006, Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Mahalchari of Khagrachari. Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers gang raped Ms. Thuimrajai Marma (16) daughter of Mamong Marma at Saprue Karbaripara.

Bangladesh army rape and torture indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Panchari

On 19 January 1987, Bangladesh army (numbering 25 soldiers) of 19 EBR from the army camp at Sinala of Logang raided indigenous Buddhist village Simana Para of Logang in Panchari, Khagrachari district.

After dusk, Bangladesh army encircled the village and all the inhabitants were gathered who were then subjected to severe beating and torture enmasse.

Bangladesh army arrested 6 indigenous Buddhist men and 4 indigenous Buddhist young women and took them to army camp. At the camp, Bangladesh army separated them. Bangladesh army barbarously gang raped the women for the whole night and next day till afternoon after which they were released. The arrested men were subjected to inhuman tortures for 2 days and then they were released. The victims are:

4. Mr. Amalendu Chakma (33 yrs), son of Mr. Sova Chandra Chakma, address as above.
5. Mr. Indra Kumar Chakma (38 yrs), son of Mr. Sukhendu Chakma, address as above.
6. Mr. Vidya Bhusan Chakma (24 yrs), son of Mr. Guno Chandra Chakma, address as above.
7. Miss. Moharani Chakma (18 yrs), daughter of Mr. Apon Chandra Chakma, address as above.
8. Miss. Purnima Devi Chakma (17 yrs), daughter of Mr. Tunya Chakma, address as above.
9. Miss. Kandori Chakma (19 yrs), daughter of Mr. Bolakko Chakma, address as above.
10. Mrs. Shanti Pudi Chakma, (26 yrs), wife of Mr. Indu Kumar Cnakma, address as above.
