On 17 April 2011 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous Buddhist people at Ramgarh leaving at least 2 indigenous people dead and scores injured and missing. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous Buddhists and grab their land. The indigenous victims live in open ground after their homes were burnt down by the Muslim settlers.

Bangladesh army rob indigenous people in Kaukhali

On 16 March 1987, Bangladesh army of 40 EBR from the army camps at Champatoli of Ghagra and Kaukhali launched a massive military operation against indigenous people of Bordulu in Kaukhali, Rangamati district. During the operation, Bangladesh army terrorized and robbed indigenous inhabitants. The victims are:

  1. Mr. Maung Prue Marma (42), son of Mr. Jhuai Hla Aung Marma of Bordulu, Kaukhali. BD army robbed 2 fowls from him.
  2. Mr. Chini Aung Marma (43), son of Mr. Jana Aung Marma, address as above. BD army robbed 4 fowls from him.
  3. Mr. Shui Hla Prue Marma (38), son of Mr. Saw Hla Prue Marma, address as above. BD army robbed 1 fowl from him.
  4. Mr. Mra Hla Aung Marma (35), son of Mr. Jhuicha Prue Marma, address as above. BD army robbed 3 fowls from him.
  5. Mr. Maung Sah Marma (40), son of Mr. Aungsa U Marma, address as above. BD army robbed 1 fowl from him.
  6. Mr. Uchaw Hla Marma (41), son of Mr. Fora Aung Marma, address as above. BD army robbed 2 fowls from him.
  7. Mr. Suichaw Maung Marma (45), son of Mr. Ning Hla Marma, address as above. BD army robbed 2 fowls from him.
