In May 1986, Bangladesh army personnel gang raped Mrs. Subodhini Tripura (25) wife of Mr. Tripura of Rambabu Dheba, Matiranga and then attacked her with knife. She took refuge at Tripura state of India with her family. This photo was taken at refugee camp in Tripura, India.

Bangladesh army rape and murder indigenous Buddhist girl in Ruma

On 16 March 1987, Subedar Jahabad and two other soldiers of Bangladesh army of 18 East Bengal Regiment from the army camp at Ronin Para raped and murdered an indigenous Buddhist girl at Ronin Para in Ruma, Bandarban district.

Bangladesh army attacked inidgenous Buddhist girl when she went to fetch water from a well. The culprits were hiding in a bush and attacked the victim. She was subjected to barbarous gang rape and was killed by them. The culprits after committing barbarous gang rape murdered her and left her dead body totally naked.

The victim is Miss Nua Mala Tongchengya (16), daughter of Mr. Putti Moni Tongchongya of Ronin Para, Ruma.
