On 19 December 1986, Bangladesh army men gang raped Rita Chakma (13) of Nuaram Karbari Para, Dighinala. About 20 Bangladesh army personnel from the Viswa Ram Karbari Para army camp of Dighinala raided the indigenous Buddhist village of Nuaram Karbari Para in the morning. All the male inhabitants of the village were taken by force to cut the jungle surrounding the army camp. Bangladesh army encircled the village at 11:00 a.m. and on the pretext of searching entered the houses. Bangladesh army stripped all the women and the girls who were in their houses, and gang raped. Even the minors were not spared.

Bengali settlers rape 5 indigenous women in Longadu

On 30 July 1988, a group of 35 Muslim settlers barbarously raped and robbed 5 indigenous Buddhist women at Mainee Mukh Bazar in Longadu, Rangamati district. It was market day at Minee Mukh Bazar. The incident took place on the road, near a cherry tree which is not far from the army camp situated at Mainee Mukh Bazar. The victims are:

1. Mrs. Minat Prabha Chakma (36), wife of Mr. Mana Bihari Chakma of Hara Kumar Karbari Para, Sonai Mouza, Longadu.
2. Mrs. Chaya Rani Chakma (22), wife of Mr. Amrita Lal Chakma, address as above.
3. Miss Kalabi Chakma (20), daughter of Mr. Chandi Charan Chakma, address as above.
4. Miss Shaila Bala Chakma (19), daughter of Mr. Dayal Chandra Chakma, address as above.
5. Miss Purnima Devi Chakma (19), daughter of Mr. Madan Mohan Chakma, address as above.
