On 17 February 2011; Border Guards of Bangladesh and Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous Buddhist people at Longadu leaving at least 2 indigenous people seriously injured. The aim of the attack was to drive out the indigenous Chakma Buddhists and grab their land.

Bangladesh army torture an indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Khagrachari

On 25 August 1988, Bangladesh army from Kuki Chara Camp, Khagrachari led by Capt. Aleem arrested an indigenous person in Khagrachari. Bangladesh army subjected him to severe beating and inhuman torture. The victim is:

  1. Mr. Nirmal Bihari Chakma, son of Mr. A. Chakma of Beltali, Khagrachari.

On 28 August 1988, Bangladesh army from Kuki Chara Camp, Khagrachari led by Capt. Aleem raided indigenous Buddhist villages in Jur Maram Mouza, Khagrachari.

During the raid, Bangladesh army arrested an innocent indigenous person who was the son of the headman of Jur Maram Mouza. Bangladesh army took him to the army camp where he was subjected to inhuman torture.

During interrogation, Capt. Aleem pressed the testicles of the victim in order to realise a confession that he was helping the Shanti Bahini. The victim is:

  1. Mr. Karna Roaza, son of Mr. Xelachan Roaza (headman), of Jur Maram Mouza, Khagrachari.
