Bangladesh army attack indigenous people
On 15 March 2015, Bangladeshi security forces attacked indigenous peple in Dighinala. Indigenous people were demostrating against construction of BGB headquarter at Babuchara in Dighinala. At least 8 indigenous people were injured in the attack.

Bangladesh army torture indigenous people in Naniachar

on 30 June 1991 at 5 a.m. in reprisal to the same Shanti Bahini attack, Bangladesh army from Burighat army camp arrested 2 indigenous people at Gorkset in Naniachar, Rangamati district.

Indigenous people were collecting their fishing net which was dropped in the water of Kaptai Lake on the evening of 29 June 1991.

Bangladesh army took them to the army camp, severely beat them and shoved burning cigarettes to their bodies. The victims are:

  1. Mr. Kshetra Mohan Chakma (35).
  2. Mr. Jagat Chandra Chakma (30).
