On 2 June 2017, Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked 4 indigenous Buddhist villages in Longadu. Muslim settlers murdered an indigenous Buddhist women and burnt down more than 250 indigenous Buddhist houses.
Bangladesh army torture indigenous people in Rangamati
On 12 July 1991, about 500 Bangladesh army personnel from launched a military operation against the indigenous people of Burighat Union in Naniachar, Rangamati district.
Dudring the operation 2 persons were arrested from Keretchari village and 2 persons from Hatimara village. Bangladesh army took them to the Rangamati Brigade HQ and tortured them during interrogation.
