Longadu people fleeing Muslim settler attack

On 2 June 2017, Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked 4 indigenous Buddhist villages in Longadu. Muslim settlers murdered an indigenous Buddhist women and burnt down more than 250 indigenous Buddhist houses.


Bangladesh army uproot indigenous people in Khagrachari

On 6 Aug. 1991, Bangladesh army of 35 East Bengal Regiment from the army camp at Jaduram Para in Khagrachari Zone led by Leut. Saifur Rahman attacked the indigenous inhabitants of Dat Bhanga Chara of It Chari Mouza in Khagrachari district.

Bangladesh army set fire on indigenous houses to compel them to move to concentration camps. Some of the victims are:

  1. Mr. Bindu Kumar Chakma (35), son of late Prafulla Chakma.
  2. Mr. Fazala Chakma (31), son of late Prafulla Chakma.
  3. Mr. Bharat Mohan Chakma, son of Mr. Punyasen Chakma.
