On 15 March 2015, Bangladeshi security forces attacked indigenous peple in Dighinala. Indigenous people were demostrating against construction of BGB headquarter at Babuchara in Dighinala. At least 8 indigenous people were injured in the attack.

Bangladesh army terrorize indigenous people in Baghaichari

On 15 Aug. 1991, Bangladesh army from the army camps at Kezoichari and Chintaram Chara in Baghaichari led by Zone Major Rezaul, Capt. Mesbaul Islam and Capt. Tauheed carried out a massive military operation against the indigenous inhabitants of Gabachari and Sijak in Baghaichari, Rangamati district.

During the operation, Bangladesh army beat indigenous people, robbed them, burnt their crops and set their houses on fire. Following people are among hundreds of affected farmers:

1. Mr. Birendra Chakma (60), son of Mr. Manchandra Chakma of Bardurchari, Baghaichari.
2. Miss Rabiprabha Chakma (19), daughter of Mr. Birendra Chakma (mentioned above), she was severely beaten, dipped into the river again and again and forced to swim in the river several times.
3. Mr. Suresh Kumar Chakma (36), son of Mr. Jamini Chakma of Ranga Durchari, Baghaichari.
4. Mr. Luitang Chakma (60), son of Mr. Lepya Chakma, address as above.
5. Mr. Bicchikko Chakma (30), son of Mr. Luitang Chakma, address as above.
