On 2 June 2017, Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked 4 indigenous Buddhist villages in Longadu. Muslim settlers murdered an indigenous Buddhist women and burnt down more than 250 indigenous Buddhist houses.

On 31 August 1991, Bangladesh army of 25 EBR from Baradam army camp led by 2nd Leut. Sayed arrested 2 indigenous men from their homes at Baradam of Mogban Union in Rangamati sub-district.
Bangladesh army took 2 indigenous people to the Baradam army camp and tortured them during interrogation. The victims are:
Mr. Jayanta Chakma (40), son of Mr. Iswar Chandra Chakma. BD army tied his legs and hands, serverely beat him. 3 army personnel climbed on his body and simultaneously kicked him.
Mr. Amar Singh Chakma (30), son of Mr. Undukya Chakma. BD army severely beat him.
