Chakma Children of Mahalchari
On 3 April 2006, Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers attacked indigenous Buddhist people in Mahalchari of Khagrachari. Indigenous Chakma children took refuge at Balipara Primary School after their villages were burnt down by the Bangladesh army and Muslim settlers.

Bangladesh army terrorize indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Mahalchari

On 17 March 1993, Bangladesh army from Kyangghat camp led by Capt. Safi launched a search and destroy operation at Bodnala village in Mahalchari, Khagrachari district.

Bangladesh army searched and valdalized the homes of following indigenous Chakma Buddhists.

  1. Shanti Bikash Chakma (35) son of Jugendra Chakma
  2. L. Bikhash Chakma (25) son of Jugendra Chakma
  3. Madhu Chakma (52) son of Debendra Chakma
  4. Prafulla Chakma (45) son of Mahendra Chakma
  5. Bibhuti Chakma (65) son of Chandranath Chakma
