Bangladesh army terrorize indigenous Marma Buddhists in BandarbanOn 19 September 1995, Bangladesh army of Anthahar Para Army Camp of the 26 Field Artillery Group under the 69 Infantry Brigade raided the indigenous Buddhist villages in Bandarban. Bangladesh army rounded up the indigenous Buddhists, interrogated, harassed and tortured them and threatened them with guns in order to coerce them to confess that they had contact with the Shanti Bahini. Bangladesh army can arbitrarily detain, interrogate and torture any indigenous person in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Bangladesh army requires no warrant, suspicion is enough to harass the indigenous people. Bangladesh army is driving out indigenous Buddhist, Hindu and Christian tribes from Chittagong Hill Tracts and settling Muslim settlers in their villages. Their aim is to Islamize Chittagong Hill Tracts by terror.
