Bangladesh army harass ingenous Chakma Buddhists in DighinalaOn 20 September 1995, a group of 60 Bangladesh army personnel from Marishya Military Zone attacked Chakata Chara village of Choto Hazachara Mouza, Dighinala. Bangladesh army terrorists harassed the indigenous Buddhist villagers, searched their homes, stole valuable goods and forced them to sign statements that nothing was lost during the search. Bangladesh army terrorists arrested an indigenous Buddhist on the mere suspicion of being a Shanti Bahini member and sent him to Khagrachari jail for detention without charge or trial. Bangladesh army can arbitrarily detain, interrogate and torture any indigenous person in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Bangladesh army requires no warrant, suspicion is enough to harass the indigenous people. Bangladesh army is driving out indigenous Buddhist, Hindu and Christian tribes from Chittagong Hill Tracts and settling Muslim settlers in their villages. Their aim is to Islamize Chittagong Hill Tracts by terror.
