Bangladesh army torture an indigenous Tripura man in MatirangaOn 2 December 1995, Bangladesh army personnel of the Bajyapara Army Camp, Matiranga tortured an indigenous Tripura man at his home without any reason and took away all his landholding documents. The victim was Mr. Rabindra Tripura, the son of Mr. Nali Chandra Tripura of Bajyapara, Matiranga. Bangladesh army can arbitrarily detain, interrogate and torture any indigenous person in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Bangladesh army requires no warrant, suspicion is enough to harass the indigenous people. Bangladesh army is driving out indigenous Buddhist, Hindu and Christian tribes from Chittagong Hill Tracts and settling Muslim settlers in their villages. The aim is to Islamize Chittagong Hill Tracts by terror.
