Bangladesh army and collaborators raid indigenous Buddhist home in DighinalaOn 26 December 1995, at night Bangladesh army personnel and PPSPC collaborators (Parbattya Chattagram Jatiyo Shanti and Samannoy Parishad) surrounded the house of Mr. Niru Chakma (30), the son of Mr. Chandra Bahan Chakma, of Boalkhali under the jurisdiction of Dighinala with an aim to arrest him on the ground that he was a supporter of the PCJSS. Fortunately, he was not at home that night and thus he escaped abduction and imprisonment. Bangladesh army can arbitrarily detain, interrogate and torture any indigenous person in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Bangladesh army requires no warrant, suspicion is enough to harass the indigenous people. Bangladesh army is driving out indigenous Buddhist, Hindu and Christian tribes from Chittagong Hill Tracts and settling Muslim settlers in their villages. Their aim is to Islamize Chittagong Hill Tracts by terror.
