Bangladesh army terrorize indigenous Marma Buddhists in Rowangchari

On 18 March 1996 Bangladesh Army commander forced Mr. Monghla Ching Marma, the Headman of Rowangchari Mouza, Bandarban to call a meeting of the local prominent indigenous people and to tell them not to pay tax and donation to the PCJSS and Shanti Bahini.

But the wise and patriotic indigenous Marma Buddhists did not say anything in response to their Headman's advice because he had to pronounce so in the presence of the army commander. They knew very well that their Headman would have been in great danger had he not "obeyed" the military commander's order.
