On 19-20 February 2010 Bangladesh army backed Muslim settlers attacked the indigenous Buddhist people at Baghaichari. Many indigenous houses were burnt down including Buddhist temples. Bangladesh army detain 5 indigenous Chakma Buddhists in Suvolong

On 11 May 1996 Bangladesh army of the 32 EBR from Noyapara Army Camp in the Suvolong area arrested 5 indigenous people for being involved in the activities of the Hill Student Council (HSC) and the Hill People Council (HPC) and detained them without charge. The victims were

3. Mr. Nikko Chakma
4. Mr. Jnana Jyoti Chakma (26)
5. Mr. Dhanudhwaj Chakma.
